Thomas's Story
Tom is our Chief Business Appraiser. With over 30 years of experience in Securities Analysis, Business Valuation, and Portfolio Management, Tom adds an incredible amount of experience to our portfolio management team.
Tom began his career as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in his home state of Pennsylvania, later relocating to the Dallas/Ft Worth area. It was at this point that Tom became an analyst with Bank of America. Tom eventually left B of A and moved to Hester Capital as a Head Equity Trader and Analyst. This is where Tom and Eric first met and worked together for several years.
Tom holds a BA in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Delaware. Additionally, Tom also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Dallas. Like Eric, Tom is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Tom believes in giving back to his profession and as a result served on the board of the CFA society in Austin from 2001 to 2010.
